THE OSCARS!!!

I was so in love with last nite's show, yes it was long and yes I was painfully sick of hearing GRAVITY win again. But the moments that stood out, the wonderful speeches, and the of course the glamour.

Here are my top picks:
Lupita Nyongo for 12 years a Slave Best Actress in a Supporting role.
Her speech brought tears to my eyes.

"It doesn't escape me for one moment that so much joy in my life is due to so much pain in someone else's"
in her beautiful blue, custom made Prada gown.

Matthew McConaughey wins best Actor in a leading role.
"My hero's always 10 years away," the actor said in a gracious acceptance speech. "I'm never going to attain that. That keeps me with somebody to keep on chasing."

I love him so much right now! If you haven't been watching True Detectives on HBO, you must!

Cate Blanchett in Giorgio Armani
Wins Best Actress in a Leading role.

"As random and as subjective as this award is, it means a great deal in a year of — yet again — extraordinary performances by women."    . . . "films with a female at the center are niche experiences," the truth is that "audiences want to see them, and they earn money — the world is round, people!"

Jared Leto wins best Actor in a supporting role.

36 million people who have lost the battle to AIDS,” . . . . “who ever felt injustice for who you are and who you love.”
“Tonight I stand in front of the world for you,”

I thought people really had some profound words, not the usual speeches.

here is some general amazing fashion highlights of the nite:
Sandra in Alexander McQueen

Amy in Gucci

Angelina in Ellie SAAB

Anne in Gucci

Charlize in Christian Dior Haute Couture
AMAZING!!!!

Jennifer in Dior

Kerry in Jason Wu

Naomi in Calvin Klein Collection

Olivia in Valentino

Portia in  Naeem Khan
