Shoe of the DAY!!

Be ready for some of the new hottest shoes you can get your hands on!
Tania Spinelli has arrived!!

Some info on who she is:
Shoe designer Tania Spinelli was born into a house of style. Her father was a Sicilian tailor and her mother was a seamstress, both of whom passed on their skilled craftsmanship and love of fine materials to their daughter. Spinelli studied fashion design at Philadelphia University and after graduating moved to Brazil with her husband. Her father-in-law happened to be an established cobbler and gave Spinelli her first taste in shoe design. In 1998, Spinelli returned to the U.S. and joined the design team at Tommy Hilfiger, working in their ready-to-wear department for over six years. Spinelli left apparel to design shoes. . . and we are so thankful for that!

And in even more recent news, her Fall 2010 collection just got picked up at Saks!
WONDERFUL!!

Vivienne Westwood Red Label

Lovely in gray.

Erykah Badu - Window Seat

Fatbellybella twitters:
#windowseat was shot guerilla style, no crew, 1 take , no closed set , no warning , 2 min . , don town dallas , then ran like hell...

Badu has drawn much attention from its climax, a scene that not only features her removing undergarments but bending down only to be shot seconds later. After the shot and collapse, a man yells "groupthink," followed by Badu's words: "they play it safe. They are quick to assassinate what they do not understand. They move in packs ingesting more and more fear with each act of hate on one another. They feel most comfortable in groups.... less guilt to swallow. They are us. This is what we have become, afraid to respect an individual. A single person within a circumstance can move one to change to love ourself... to evolve."

Confirming the video's message, which derives from 'Group Think' (a type of thought exhibited by group members who try to minimize conflict and reach consensus without critically testing, analyzing), ...Badu says "We are ALL guilty of groupthink we have all been VICTIMS of groupthink."

Her album is in stores tomorrow - 3.30

It's already getting amazing reviews!!! I CAN't WAIT!

Pitanga Brand

Something new and lovely for you to try on!

PITANGA was created in 2006, in Portugal with the clear and specific purpose of launching a real, one hundred percent Portuguese brand. First joining the Portuguese market as a concept store, the first, and long awaited PITANGA shoe collection was launched for the
Spring/Summer season of 2009.

The whole image of PITANGA is defined by a casual chic attitude thinking of cosmopolitan and independent women who are not afraid of expressing and feeling their inner feminality.
You will find behind the PITANGA collections the Creative Director Manuela Marques and the Designer Bruno Gomes who, both working with the production department, develop in each season real objects of desire.

Assuming an urban and sophisticated look, the Pitanga creations represent in full form the alliance between design and comfort. For that purpose, it relies on the finest manufacturing of the best shoe making companies in the country.

J.Crew Yearns to Make Shoes With Christian Louboutin or Manolo Blahnik

BUT DONT GET YOUR HOPES UP!

After witnessing the success of the Pierre Hardy for Gap collection last year, J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons is itching for her own designer shoe range. "What we’d really like to do, especially for women’s, is a shoe collaboration where we maybe go to someone like Manolo Blahnik or Christian Louboutin," she said. But! Louboutin told us he turned down an H&M collaboration last year, and didn't want to pursue a one-off line with anyone else. Maybe Lyons can rope in Blahnik.

From NYMAG - The Cut

It's a Louboutin kind of day!

'There is music to a shoe, there is attitude, there is sound.'

God forgive me, I interviewed Christian Louboutin while wearing a pair of trainers. Not fancy sci-fi ones either, but properly old and grimy ones. Louboutin is one of the most famous shoe designers in the world and officially the most prestigious, according to independent ratings company Luxury Institute, which has named Christian Louboutin as the most desirable shoe brand in the world for the past three years. He is also the man who is credited, or blamed, for bringing the stiletto back into fashion. So wearing trainers to meet him is a little like suggesting to Jamie Oliver that we meet at McDonald's for lunch.

But then – whaddyaknow – Louboutin turns up to his tiny and stiletto-filled office wearing trainers himself. (Although where mine say Converse, his say, in a discreet logo on the side, Christian Louboutin, which, presumably, would come in handy should he forget his name.)

"Your trainers are nicer than mine," I say as we settle on the striped sofa against the wall.

"Oh non…" he drawls in a tone that says, "Oui, oui, oui, oui, oui."

But he assures me that he does not judge women by their shoes. Well, not exactly.

Usain Bolt does Animagical for Puma

Usain Bolt Jamaican sprinter and a three-time Olympic gold medalist
Puma Animagical Man is described as an aromatic, green, fruity fragrance with notes of African Kei Apple, cardamom oil, rosemary and pineapple, as well as white ironwood for warmth.
The eaux de toilette will be packaged in zebra-print-inspired, vividly colored bottles and boxes.

The Animagical line, which is being positioned as an Africa-influenced scent — from its exotic ingredients to its animal-inspired packaging — is part of a larger Africa-themed campaign for the Puma fashion brand, which is celebrating a decade of Puma’s support of African sports.
