Runway to Green

Runway to Green is bringing together some of the world's top designers to help raise awareness about the environment. Each designer will create an exclusive fashion item for the Runway to Green Collection that will be sold in selected retail stores around the globe. The designers have all made a commitment to investigate the sustainable manufacturing practices put forward in the Clean by Design intiative from the NRDC.

A portion of the Runway to Green proceeds from the sale of these collection items will go to the Alliance for Climate Protection, the Natural Resources Defense Council and the United Nations Environment Programme's Billion Tree Campaign.

Burberry Prorsum, Rachel Roy and Jason Wu - just to name a few. . .

The collection will be launched on March 29, 2011 at the Bid to Save the Earth event in New York City’s Rockefeller Center with a Runway to Green fashion show and live auction by Christie’s. The fashion show will be styled by Vogue Fashion Director, Tonne Goodman, and Contributing Editor, Tabitha Simmons and a limited selection of the looks from the show will be available for purchase exclusively on NET-A-PORTER.COM directly following. Proceeds from the event and simultaneous online auction, powered by charitybuzz, will go to Conservation International, Oceana and Central Park Conservancy.
