"super sexy shakes and smoothies”

Spring is here and it’s time to shed the heavy clothes and get your “sexy” on! What a great time to also start adding in some lighter fare and incorporating more energizing foods into your day. How about trying a power boosting shake or smoothie? It’ s a quick and easy way to nourish your body and your mind. Below are a few fun recipes that will be sure to boost metabolism, reduce the bloat and re-invigorate the soul. Try them out for breakfast, pre or post work-out, or anytime you need a “healthy snack on the go.” Enjoy!

Lean Green: Handful of Spinach and Kale, 1/2 Frozen Banana, Rolled Oats, 1 tsp. Spirulina, 8oz Unsw. Almond Milk, Cinnamon. This delicious smoothie is GREAT for cleansing and rejuvenating. A fabulous way to get in some “greens.”

Gone Bananas: Frozen 1/2 Banana, Unsw. Almond Milk, Hemp Protein, Almond Butter, Dates, Cinnamon. This tasty treat is great for post work out. Loaded with potassium, protein and healthy fats. Super for kids too!

Berried Alive: Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Strawberries, Favorite “Green” powder (I like NanoGreens), Unsw. Almond Milk, 1 tsp. Maca, 1 tsp Acai. Packed with vitamin C and skin boosting minerals – this shake is a wonderful way to get in antioxidants and reduce inflammation. Your face and body will thank you.

Tropical Getaway: Fresh Pineapple, Mango, Shredded Coconut, 8 oz Coconut Milk, Orange Juice, 1 tsp. Flax Oil. Pineapple contains bromelain which aids digestion and reduces bloat. Try this mock piña colada while you de-stress and create you own relaxing “at home” getaway!

Peachy Keen: Frozen Peaches, Unsw. Almond Milk, Vanilla Whey Powder. A refreshing shake and metabolism boosting treat.

*Note: All ingredients can be mixed and matched. Quanities may vary depending on taste. Choose your favorite milk substitute – Almond, Soy, Rice or Coconut. And feel free to interchange the protein powders – rice, whey, hemp.
