Such a great story by Kathryn Stockett, describing the times in the early 1960's in Jackson Mississippi. Black maids were treated literally as the Help. A young white, first time author decides to anonymously write a book about these women and their struggle during the civil rights era. It is a heart-wrenching and a powerful story.A MUST read.
