Limon - 1001 South Van NessA few things to comment on right away - the parking situation is enough to make you turn around and go home. In the deeper Mission neighborhood, a bit off the beaten path. . . take a cab.
The space feels a bit unfinished, perhaps the high ceilings and the cement floor - though usually this is urban chic, in this location it feels a bit vacant.
The bar doesnt even have its shelves stocked, at least that is how it appears.
All this considered, these Peruvian nibbles are delicious. The menu is not large but everything we tasted was spot on: Ceviche, "Crispy" Chicken, Steak & Fries, Camarones and Red Sangria!
1/2 Rotisserie Chicken
They dont take reservations so get there early or the wait can be long.
Note: Underground drinking den, secret staircase near the bathroom!
I just went there!!! you are right the parking is horrendous!!!! but once u settle in i really like it. the food is good but if u want a filling meal u gotta order right. mama how'd u find this spot?
