Marc Jacobs - Oh, Lola Ad banned. . . .
LONDON — Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority ruled Wednesday that the print advertisement for Marc Jacobs’ Oh Lola fragrance, starring Dakota Fanning and shot by Juergen Teller, “was irresponsible and likely to cause serious offence,” and has banned the ad from appearing again in its current form.
The ad features Fanning posing in a pink polka dot dress, with an oversize bottle of the Oh Lola fragrance resting in her lap. The ASA received four complaints about the ad after it appeared in magazines in August, which argued that it portrayed “the young model in a sexualized manner.”
What do you think about this? I hardly think this is the sexiest ad. . . but. . . ?

Jimmy Choo Celebrates 15 Years at Le Bon Marché...
SOMETHING TO CHOO ON: Jimmy Choo is celebrating its 15th anniversary with an exhibition of 15 of its bestselling shoe designs at Le Bon Marché, which opened Wednesday in a 650-square-foot pop-up shop on the ground floor of the Paris department store. The archival creations have inspired a capsule collection dubbed “Icons,” which includes designs such as the “Marlene,” a violet suede platform sandal based on the “Feather” shoe, famously featured on “Sex and the City.” The vintage shoes, covered in glass cases, will remain on display until Dec. 31 alongside the new designs, set on pedestals, against the backdrop of a video directed by Marcus Werner Hed. Customers will be able to flip through electronic copies of the commemorative book “Jimmy Choo XV” on iPads placed among the exhibits.
