A few months back I watched a haunting documentary on HBO, Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer.
For those that don't know - the documentary tells a compelling story of how a group of young, feminist punk rockers known as Pussy Riot captured the world's attention by protesting against Putin's Russian.

What I find frightening - is that Nadya has not been heard from in over two weeks by her family and friends. The Russian prison service has refused to disclose her location, but confirm that she was being moved from Prison Colony 14 in Mordovia to another colony. Nadya's husband believes she is being transferred to a Colony in Siberia. . . . yes it is as grim as it sounds.
Ms. Tolokonnikova depicts the grim circumstances and "slave-like" conditions, she had declared a hunger strike. You can read a full transcript here.
