Valentino for Gap. . .
The seven pieces are quintessential Valentino, with ruffles and bows galore. The parka has been reinterpreted in three styles, all in heavyweight khaki cotton with three-dimensional ruffles: there is a jacket, a hooded cropped jacket, and - the absolute jewel of the collection - a longer parka with ruffles around the neckline. This overtly feminine utilitarianism is also applied to an above-the-knee tiered khaki skirt with a trademark Valentino bow on one hip, and a pair of cargo pants with frill-bordered pockets. The final two pieces are a powdery grey T-shirt complete with oversized bow, and a hoodie - a designer collection for Gap would not be complete without a take on the brand's casual wear essential - this one in grey marl with ruffles at the hem. Chiuri and Piccioli agree their favourite design in the collection is the cropped jacket, which they describe as 'Gap with couture proportions'.
The Valentino for Gap collection will be available from November 27 at a limited number of stores worldwide: Gap's new Milan store, Colette in Paris, and, in Britain, Gap's flagship store in Oxford Street, London W1, from 9.30am, and at Dover Street Market, London W1, from 11am.

This is the History Channel’s first scripted series and is already causing some controversy. Historians who read the earlier versions of the script criticized it for factual errors and said it was too right-wing. In the early script, supposedly, Kennedy says, speaking about his infidelity, “If I don't have someone new, I have migraines that wreck me.”The eight-part mini series will air next year.
