SOUL TRAIN DOCUMENTARY!!!!
Narrated by Academy Award Nominee Terrence Howard with an original score by Ahmir 'Questlove' Thompson of The Roots, the special will also feature a rare interview with Don Cornelius in which he reveals exclusive details regarding the launch and early days of the legendary series.
"Soul Tran: The Hippest Trip in America," will air on February 6 at 9pm and will highlight the artists whose careers the hit show, which ended it's run in 2006, launched.
The segment will also feature commentary from the "Soul Train" cast and crew and talents from Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan to Snoop Dogg and Cedric the Entertainer.
The documentary includes memorable performances and moments from the show, as well as behind-the-scene stories from the people who lived the "Soul Train" movement, including the cast, crew, and dancers.

In response to the devastation in Haiti, the CFDA and its member designers have organized a nationwide effort to raise funds via a “Fashion for Haiti” T-shirt. "Unfortunately I am caught up in a whole music label situation," Eve told the New York Post. "The album is finally going to come out this spring or summer. But with all the time that passed, we went back in and reworked the whole thing. I am truly, truly sitting on some amazing music. Nobody's been waiting longer than me to get this monkey off my back!"
It's been two years since Eve released her single "Tambourine" from the album Here I Am.

Shiseido to buy Bare Escentuals?
In a bold step, Japanese cosmetics giant Shiseido Co. Ltd. has launched an estimated $1.7 billion tender offer to acquire Bare Escentuals Inc., one of the hottest brands of recent years.
Bare Escentuals has been at the forefront of the distribution in the U.S. beauty revolution, combining midmarket specialty store chains such as Sephora and Ulta with a strong TV shopping component and a department store anchor. It also operates its own stand-alone boutiques.
The acquisition is expected to widen Shiseido’s customer base and extend its product reach into mineral cosmetics, giving Shiseido a foothold in Bare Escentuals’ key channels, including TV retailing and the Internet. It is also expected to strengthen Shiseido’s presence in Europe and Asia. In addition, the deal would provide the makeup brand with greater access to Japan, as well as other fast-growing Asian markets, such as China. Bare Escentuals is the number-one makeup brand on QVC U.S. and Japan, according to the company.
